Biography
William was born on 19 February 1893 to Edward and Rebecca Wragg. In 1911 he was a servant to Maurice Deacon at Chase Cliffe, Whatstandwell. By 1915 he was serving with the Mercantile Marine on board RMS Tainui. His correspondence address in 1921 was in East Ham, London. After the war he continued serving in the Merchant Navy and married in 1922

He was 5ft 3½ in tall with fair hair and blue eyes. He served as a cabin waiter and assistant steward. He served aboard RMS Ausonia.
