Notes
Albert Taylor lived in Cromford and worked in the Factory at Lea Mills. He was the subject of an exemption application in March 1917 but the Tribunal dismissed the application. He was C1 category and his age was given as nineteen years. However, he left the firm to join the forces on 20th March 1917 and the works record his age as twenty-one. He was disharged 28 March 1919.

Albert's brother Samuel Taylor also worked at Lea Mills and served in WW1

Newspaper Report
In the Derby Daily Telegraph 16 July 1914 it was reported that he was fined 2/6 (with others) for playing football on the pavement at Matlock Bath.
