Biography
Hiram Storer was the son of Hiram and Hannah Storer; he was born in Fritchley in 1895 and worked as a carter. He served as a trooper with the Derbyshire Yeomanry alongside his younger brother Matthew. After demob he returned to Fritchley and married Emily Heathcote in 1920 at All Saints, Ripley. Hiram died aged thirty-five on 8 October 1930 and is buried in St Mary's churchyard. His wife, Emily later married Harold Barratt.
