Biography
Isaac Hartshorne 1894–1945. Before the war he worked as a pony driver in the pit. By 1917 he had relocated to the north-east.

Enlisted Jan 1915 into 10th and 12th battalions (according to the medal rolls). Probably moved to 12th Battalion (Pioneers) after one of his wounds. (12th are the Wipers Times lot) [Steve Morse]

Isaac Hartshorne married Amelia Lowe June qtr 1917 (Sunderland reg distict)
