Notes

Edwin was born in about 1878 in Ramsbottom, Lancashire where his father (also Edwin) was a licensed victualler. The family soon moved to South Darley and then to Crich. Edwin married Emma Proctor in 1900 and they lived in Fairfield, Buxton where he worked as a stone mason. His parents continued to live in Crich Parish which is why he was remembered on the Crich Roll of Honour.
